Silver Citizens Summit 2026: senior sector gathering in Cannes, September 14-15
The Silver Citizens Summit takes place on September 14-15, 2026, at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. Organized by SilverEco, the leading platform for the Silver economy sector, the conference brings together industry professionals, local authorities, French communal social action centers (CCAS) and senior tourism players around a single topic: the place of seniors in society.
On the program over the two days: a multi-hall expo-forum, auditions for the 2026 SilverEco Trophies nominees, networking and speed-meeting sessions between professionals, and the signing of a tripartite international agreement to develop the Silver economy in Slovakia. The announced themes cover intergenerational ties, the role of cities and regions, Silver Tourism, and the fight against ageism.
This kind of gathering matters because it asks, at the scale of an entire industry, exactly the question Oscar Cadres asks at the individual scale: what if senior experience weren't a problem to manage, but a resource to put to work? A conference bringing together local authorities, tourism businesses and economic players around aging well is a signal that the topic reaches well beyond individual cases.
